The Ocean Symposium and Marine Exhibition 2023 was an event that brought together academics, government agencies, community groups, businesses, NGOs, and members of the general public for a day of presentations, panel discussions, and networking. The event also featured short underwater films showcasing the beauty and importance of our oceans in Sussex and beyond. It was a unique opportunity to engage with experts and enthusiasts in the marine field in the United Kingdom, joined by speakers and panellists from around the world in a hybrid format, addressing underwater ecosystem restoration, ocean pollution and the effects of global warming in our oceans. Young people also played a key role in helping at this event.
The event was organised by the United Nations Association Climate & Oceans, in partnership with Sussex Wildlife Trust, Sussex Marine and Coastal Forum and Community Supporters CIC. It was kindly sponsored by RS Aqua.
