I have worked in the Environmental field throughout my life and saw Climate breakdown as an existential threat to the human prospect since the mid 1980’s. In recent years I have been active in Climate Action groups with a focus on the Interfaith communities, supporting Youth empowerment and education outreach. I am a long-time scuba diving volunteer at the Newport Aquarium in Oregon.
Earlier this year I was working with the youth program coordinator who facilitates the Youth Ocean and Climate Change Interpreters to participate in a World Oceans Day event in Eugene along with local Watershed Council staff to include the Indigenous perspective of Traditional Environmental Knowledge (TEK) The event theme around Ocean Watershed Literacy (OWL)
